Frequently asked questions
The questions we hear most from neighbors — answered honestly. Don't see yours? Just call; we're happy to talk it through, no strings attached.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Josh Haley is a licensed Texas Master Plumber (License #M45112) — the highest level of plumbing licensure in Texas, earned through years of experience and continued education. JH₂O Plumbing is a family-owned and operated business, fully insured for the residential and commercial work we do.
Do you really answer 24/7?
Yes — day, night, weekend, or holiday, you'll reach us, not a call center. One honest note: if we're under a sink or on another line when you call, we may miss it. Leave a voicemail or send us a text at the same number — we'll get back to you fast. Texts are just as good as calls.
How much will my repair cost?
Every job is different, so we won't guess over the phone — but we'll always be straight with you. We'll talk through the problem when you call, and you'll know the price before any work begins. No surprise charges, no fine print.
What kind of work do you do?
Residential and commercial plumbing: water treatment and softening systems, water heaters (tank and tankless), drain and sewer work, garbage disposals, leak and pipe repairs, and general plumbing repairs and maintenance.
How hard is San Antonio's water, really?
Some of the hardest in the country. San Antonio water averages 16–26 grains per gallon of hardness — anything over 5 grains per gallon is considered hard water. Hard water is hard on fixtures, appliances, water heaters, and your skin. A properly sized softener makes a real difference, and we'd be glad to walk you through the options.
Do you work on water heaters or softeners you didn't install?
In most cases, yes. Give us a call, tell us the brand and what's going on, and we'll be honest with you about whether we can help and what it needs.
What is the Salt Service program?
Never worry about running out of salt again. We deliver and refill your water softener with the salt it needs to keep your system running efficiently and your water soft. Ask about it when you call.
Do you offer any discounts?
Yes — military, first responder, senior, and teacher discounts. Just mention it when you call. You can see the details on our Special Offers page.
What areas do you serve?
San Antonio and the surrounding communities — Helotes, Leon Valley, Boerne, Castroville, Medina, Medina County, Medina Lake, Mico, Lake Hills, Alamo Ranch, and more. We're not limited to that list: if you're in or around San Antonio, call us — chances are we can help.
